Just heard about a second shooting today at a religious facility in Colorado- this time New Life Church in Colorado Springs. Earlier today four young people were shot, and two have since died, at a YWAM training center in Arvada, Colorado.

I mention this only as it relates to the reality of spiritual warfare. Most often we think of spiritual warfare only manifesting itself in the spirit. While most of the time this is true, never forget, the enemy can attack and show himself in physical as well as spiritual dimensions.

I just hope the "positive pundits" within the Christian community DON'T put a false spin on this. These are NOT arbitrary attacks, but rather, cleverly designed assaults by the evil one against the people of God. As much as I hate to say so, I believe these kinds of attacks against believers and churches will intensify in the coming days. The enemy knows his time is short, and he wants to destroy as many as he possibly can in the time he has left.

Who do YOU trust?

I'm dating myself, I'm sure, but I remember an old game show titled, "Who do you trust?" Can't remember many details about it (it was sooo looong ago!) but I know the ultimate goal, I believe, was to determine who, on the panel, was telling the truth.

This Sunday (Dec. 9) I'm preaching a message titled, "Why lead paint terrifies us!" and it deals with exactly the same idea! WHO we trust determines how we live our lives. IF we're trusting in ourselves, instead of God, we'd BETTER be terrified by lead paint and all the other environmental concerns out there! Whenever we de-throne God and replace Him with ourselves, we assume ALL of the responsibilities that go with the title, God.
